I was bored today. Very bored. I didn't work the whole weekend and was off with Ben. It was nice. But he had to work today, and I didn't. So I was at home alone. And bored. And what does any crafty gal do when she's bored? Make something, of course! I had been eying this pattern by Rae of Made by Rae. So today was the day to step foot into the world of making CLOTHES!

Apparently my brain can only formulate posts every two weeks or so!
The real reason for delaying any wonderfully crafty news I might have is because I don't have any!! I hope the rest of you will feel my pain when I tell you this....you know when I went home a couple weeks ago?? Well I took my sewing machine with me. I was so proud that I remembered to bring it home, I was so worried I'd forget and then not be able to sew for weeks. Well, its also hard to sew if you forget the power cord! *sob* So there is the reason for my lack of anything crafty.
I did start working on some baby shoes, but can't finish them until I get my cord back....AHHH! So I'm sitting here, making yo-yos to go on something. Maybe a pillow case dress, maybe a lamp, a quilt, or an actual pillow, I don't know yet.
What else can you do with yo-yos??
Maybe next time I'll have more crafty progress for you...

So it feels like forever since I posted last. Was it really only 2 weeks ago?? Not a lot to show today, only a quilt that I finished while at home with my mom.
I know its crooked, forgive me?
I love the white binding! Its the first non-scrappy binding I've done.
Don't you like the rustic barn in the background?
I like this view too. Couldn't pick, so you got several shots of it!
For those few of you who read my blog and don't know, my mom was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and underwent surgery on the 18th. She is doing better and will have to do radioactive iodine some time in the near future. I love my mom, but I am glad to be back home with my husband!
